As part of the baby boomer generation, you should realize that we drive the trends in the marketplace and have done so for years.
1950's: Mattel created toys for us which is now a trillion dollar business.
1960's: We were involved in student unrest and shut down every university in the county.
1970's: We created the sexual revolution and as a result, we have the pill and numerous other methods of contraception. We also created the workout gym because we wanted to stay young and fit and now they are everywhere.
2000: We will not retire! Ford and GM couldn't retire 75,000 people so they laid off the young ones instead.
We've spent $255 billion in the Iraqui war and $1.5 trillion on prescriptions last year!
All of these trends have been predicted because we are the wellness generation.
In the year 2000, $100 million was spent.
In the year 2001, $400 billion was spent.
In the year 2009, we will exceed $1 trillion - the wave is now!
