RENT A GEEK KICKS OFF “STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE” LAPTOP GIVEAWAY
Challenging Middle & High School Students To Step Up Their Game
Rent A Geek is excited to kick off our first of many “Strive For Excellence” contests. We will be awarding three students from Hillsborough County each semester a brand new laptop computer in the three following ares of Excellencel:
• Maintained Excellence
• Most Improvement
• Excellence in Citizenship
Maintained Excellence:
Elligible winners will be students who continuously maintain a 4.0 or higher GPA, and perfect attendance record in the past 4 grading periods. Winner will be chosen by random drawing. Winning students parents must give written consent to the students school to verify GPA.
Most Improved:
Elligible winners will be students who have increased their over all GPA by 1 point or more, and have maintained a perfect attendance record for the in the last 4 grading periods. Winner will be chosen by most improved, or random drawing in the event of a tie. Winning students parents must give written consent to the students school to verify GPA increase.
Excellence in Citizenship:
Elligible winners will be students who have gone above and beyond call, and performed extraordinary acts of merit. Winner will be chosen by a panel of judges. Acts of merit must be verifiable.
Elligible students must be nominated by a parent/legal guardian or a teacher. To nominate a student, please visit the “Contact Us” page at www.RentAGeekInc.com, and make your nomination using the “Contact Us” email form. Nomination deadline for the first contest is March 10, 2008 at 11:59 am. Please include the following information with your nomination:
• Students Name
• School Name
• Your Name (Person making the nomination)
• Your Phone Number (Person making the nomination)
• Over all GPA (If student is being nominated for “Maintained Excellence”)
• Beginning GPA from 4 grade period back, & current GPA (If student is being nominated for “Most Improved”)
• Explanation of why you feel this student deserves to win. (If student is being nominated for “Excellence in Citizenship”)
